Temporary profile loaded Citrix

When a user login the profile is not loaded and he get the message that a temporary profile is loaded. When I look at the roaming profile folder the user folder is not created. I have no problems with other users. I also see this error when I look in the UserProfileManager: ERROR;keetos;motir.d.vanstip;2;4688;ProcessLogon: A local UPM profile has been found but the corresponding profile <\\fps01.keetos.nl\profiles\motir.d.vanstip> can not be found in the userstore. Switching to a temporary profile.

What I have tried:

* Delete the user from the local foler c:\users
* Delete the user in the registry HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENT VERSION\ PROFILELIST

Any idea's?

Look in the registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENT VERSION\ PROFILELIST for any SID that ends in .bak and delete it. You will need to do this on all the Citrix servers.

Hi,
we never delete Profiles in that way. We just delete profiles from Control panel applet "system Properties",navigate to advance.
Press Win+Break
Press Win+R and type sysdm.cpl and press enter.
Click on the settings button in the user profile section, choose the appropriate user profile and click on delete.
(microsoft recommendation )

you can also use (microsoft recommendation as well)
runas /user: computername \Administrator "rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL sysdm.cpl"

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer

It allways works for us

I already have tried that. Also in the registry aren't any .bak files.

Have you tried manually creating the roaming profile folder? If you do that, the user must have FULL rights to the roaming profile folder.
1.  Create the roaming profile folder
2.  Give the user full rights to the folder
3.  Make sure the local profile for the user is gone (Start Run > sysdm.cpl > advanced tab > User profiles)
4.  Also check to make sure there are no remnants of the user's profile in C:\users or in the ProfileList in the registry
5.  Have the user log on

You can try to configure the citrix profile management to fix this permanently. Its free tool from citrix you can download it from http://www.citrix.com/go/jmp/upm.html

What version of UPM are you using? We saw something very similar and ended up upgrading to the then latest version.

The problem is solved. I renamed the folder to ".old". After I deleted the .old folder from the harddrive the profile was created again after the login.

Maybe if there was some kind of reference to the folder or something.
