I have a user that started having trouble with Photoshop CS6 lagging a week or two ago. Everything was fine before that. She reports that all the other adobe apps are working fine. The machine has been used for a couple of years now with no trouble and has a SSD. What possible solutions are there for this?

Thanks,

Justin

Does it lag on opening or during usage?

If it's during the opening, have you recently added many fonts?

If it's during usage, there is a brush lag that people have run across,

You might update the video driver.    Photoshop has been getting more and more GPU intensive, a driver update might help.

There is more on memory settings here ...

And finally have a look at this video for a few tips not mentioned above

Did you like Google the question and paste the results? Why would anyone want to pay to get such answers?

I installed more RAM in the users computer and this significantly made the issue better. I am also installing a video card on Thursday and hoping that will be enough to fully resolve. The issue has only had the issue once in two weeks since I installed the RAM but before, she was having the issue every day.

RAM mostly resolved the issue.
