Windows 2012 Fileserver Cluster failover Desktop Icons disappear

We have a Windows 2012 Fileserver Cluster.  The Desktop is redirected on a share on the Fileserver Cluster.  When a Failover appears, the icons disappear and only come back when you press F5.

Any idea why ?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yeah, because you lost network connection with the desktop for a few seconds and when you have an active desktop it can;t find it's location anymore.

I have seen it myself multiple times and have never find another solution then to just press F5 while on the desktop. This also happens if your computers network connection is dropped for a few seconds. To my knowledge there is nothing that can be done if Desktop is redirected (or you need to locally cache the content but then what's the point of redirection.

This happens of you specifically disable offline files on the redirection share. When you make that choice, this is a limitation. There is no workaround as the product is working as designed.
