Mimesweeper locked by adminsitrator! Can this be unlocked via SQL Management studio?

hi guys,

We're phasing out our old version of Mimesweeper version 2.6_2.2148. It is used for SMTP policies and is the primary inbound mail route.

I've tried to make a change in the routing and even though I'm logged on as Administrator, I get a message saying 'the configuration is locked for editing by administrator'. I've restarted the server etc to no avail.

We also have run out of support and we're getting rid of this soon.

This server also has SQL 2005 installed, as it has a database engine. I can access the DB engine using the SQL Management studio. Is there any thing you would know that can help unlock this so that I can make changes again to the policies?

Thanks for your help

You need support and for a high fee, I was sort of thinking that a 'locked by administrator' may possibly be something we can resolve.

Hello, please try this, it has worked for me.

You need to use the System Maintenance Utility to reset policy access, which you will find under Start > Programs > MIMEsweeper for SMTP > System Maintenance Utility.

Log on as your MIMEsweeper Administrator and then choose Reset Policy Access, follow the wizard and hit Start.
