The RPC server is unavailable (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA). Tricky, what to do?


I have an standalone classified enterprise .NET application which I receive this error:

The RPC server is unavailable (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)

The attached document is the WMI log result, and i don't see where the problem is. Any help?

I cannot share the application name though.

RPC server errors are caused due to DNS lookup failures \ AD port blockages \ non existent dns server IP addresses \ issues with AD replication \ stale domain controller entries
Check that your firewall allows for communication on TCP port 135. Otherwise, open that port for %SystemRoot%\system32\svchost.exe through GPO.
Also, for Asynchronous WMI traffic:
All ports open for %systemroot%\system32\wbem\unsecapp.exe

There are a lot of errors in there, this one a few times:

!! ERROR: (CheckWMIFeatures) : 0x80041002 - (WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND) Object cannot be found.

Can't suggest much as an expert here but to look at the KB article: and to run the system file checker: sfc /scannow
