itunes sync contacts prob - does not copy new number from iphone > Outlook contacts (but does vice versa)

itunes sync results between an iphone and Outlook 2010 contacts

Test contacts created on the iphone (called iphone_test1)
and Outlook (called outlook_test1)

Results after an iphone sync:

outlook_test1 > Syncs to the iphone
iphone_test1 > does not sync to Outlook contacts.

So any new numbers created on the iphone dont sync - why?

Possible cause > icloud is loaded and Im not familiar with it, Should I uninstall all icloud ?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have seen that with iTunes and with a product I use (Companion Link). Not often, but I do see it.

I make Outlook to be the prime holder of contacts, and do a one-way replace Sync from iTunes or from CompanionLink to replace Contacts and Calendars.

I have seen Sync issues all my life so if you need two-way you need to be ready for issues and orphans and keep track of who is right in case of a collision. Sync is not perfect.
