Do you think THEY think about citizens independently, or act more as a 'voting block?

WaterStreetCommented:
I think their religion colors their views so that they end up more or less like a voting bloc.  But, I don't think it's intentional to be a voting bloc.

The Roman Catholic stance seems a bit hypocritical. They support the Democratic Party which is for abortion and gay rights but then claim to be against these things.

@Bill Payer

The word "They" in your second sentence is too broad a brush to support your conclusion of hypocrisy.   In that sentence, you're mixing apples and oranges -- the stance of the Roman Catholic Church in contrast with a substantial voting block of Catholics who support the Democratic Party, abortion, and  gay rights.

“Today’s decision is based on the Court accepting as the owners’ sincere religious belief that these drugs and devices can destroy an embryo and end a human life,”

Justice Samuel Alito: “The owners of the businesses have religious objections to abortion, and according to their religious beliefs the four contraceptive methods at issue are abortifacients.

In sum, I don't think we reached some definitive conclusion, while there seems some hypocrisy, somewhere, differences between believers and papacy, some wool over eyes as while there may be a real 'block', six members are Catholic. "forgive them, father, they know not what THEY do"

?: the Court accepting owners’ sincere religious belief
Done.
