When does ICA session gets registered in App Center console?

Hello there,

When user launches the application, by double clicking the Published app by right clicking Citrix Online Plugin in desktop when connected to internally,
At what time does the session gets listed in App Center management console  and gets time stamped. I need to understand this because, even though the user session is listed in AppCenter, the application is not launched in users PC.
My question if the application is not launched completely in user's PC, how come the users ICA session gets listed as active and since the application is not listed, user tries to click on the Published app icon again and again, thereby generating multiple ICA session.

Please advise.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

You can refer below link for detailed information related to Application enumeration,

http://citrixconcepts.wordpress.com/2013/02/03/enumeration-process-explained-2/

When ZDC identiies least loaded server, it will check for required app is installed on that server, If Yes, then IMA service provides the host ID details to the IMA service of the ZDC.
After this process User session will be dispalyed in App Central.

Hello,

Do you have Applocker or other application control / software restriction policy enabled?

What can happen is that if that validation fails, the session gets started but the application process does not due to being blocked by policies.

Hope it helps,
