Would Server 2012 R2 have the same in-built drivers as Server 2012?
I need to purchase a SCSI card for my Server 2012 R2 system. When searching for drivers for the SCSI card I'm looking at, it says:
Drivers listed below are included with the operating system:
Microsoft Windows Server 2012
But no mentioned of Server 2012 R2. Would you imply this means it's not compatible, or would you expect R2 to have the same in-built driver range as 2012?

You're correct. few of the drives were build in 2012. most of the RAW drives are build in Windows 2012. like Windows Driver Model , USB, Audio, SCSI and network card adapters. They should usually be source and binary compatible between Windows 98 and Windows 2000 and are hardware specific but control access to the hardware through a specific bus class driver.
