Custom Forms and Preview Pane - Outlook 2010
Calling all Experts!
We recently acquired a company that uses a custom email form (contains VB) that replaces the standard IPM.Note form in Outlook 2010. Now that we have them integrated into our system, whenever someone sends an email using that form to another user in our organization, the message cannot be read in the Preview Pane in Outlook 2010. They see the following message in the Reading Pane: "This item contains active content that cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read its contents".
When asked, the company that we acquired was aware of this and stated that they simply disable the reading pane in Outlook for all of their users. This is not an option for us, as everyone else in the company uses the Reading Pane. Obviously, my other users are now complaining about the need to open the email in order to read it.
Does anyone know way to enable the reading pane to work with custom forms. I have read some on this topic but have not been able to find a solution that works. Certainly someone has figured this out by now.
Any help would be appreciated on this topic.
