Exchange 2007 Information Store - Mailbox Correlation for Recovery

Currently, we use NTBackup to backup our Exchange server information stores and Barracuda backup servers to backup the mailboxes on the Exchange server at the brick level.  We had an issue with the NTBackup and our last good IS backup is dated 8/14/2014 and our last good mailbox backup was last night.  What is the correlation between the dates or is there any? Meaning, if our server crashed today could we recover the IS stores from the IS store back up dated 8/14/2014 and the brick level backup from last night and still have a functional up to date environment?

Thanks Amit.  Since our information store backups are 5 days old and our brick level backups are from yesterday, would recovery be an issue?  Could we recover the information stores (keep in mind the last of these were dated 8/14/2014) and then play "catch-up" to the present day mailboxes by recovering from our brick level backup?
I guess the real question is can I do a brick-level restore of my mailboxes to a new Exchange mailbox server without the original mailbox information stores?
Until you have user mailbox present on you exchange server, you can do the restore from both normal and brick level backup.
