SharePoint 2010 Backup from one server and restore on another 'named' server
Here's the scenario:
(CONFIG 1)
2 wfe
1 app server
1 database server (lets call it SQL1)
Now, I have a new database server with a NEW name (Let's call it SQL2).
Can you please enumerate proper steps to go from config 1 to config1 with SQL2 (therefore eliminating SQL1).
There is an obvious server name that has changed here, but I'm looking for safest way to restore and repoint my CONFIG1 to work with the newly named database server, which would have a restored DB from SQL1
(I hope that made sense). Can you please provide a walkthrough?
Thanks!
