Reset all Google cache, in the URL bar type - chrome://history/

Hit clear browsing data, and then choose all of the checkboxes (or at least cookies).

Restart Chrome. If that doesn't work, restart your PC as well. Open task manager if it doesn't work and kill any Chrome tasks that remain open. I've found that just because there isn't a Google Chrome window doesn't mean that Chrome is completely closed.

This happens to my Chrome from time to time if for some reason my internet goes out briefly.
