iphone - contacts replaced with unknown people somehow ....

Im thinking the end user (non tech) allowed his laptop and or iphone to be synced with someone elses laptop.

How else could this happen?

Its a brand new phone a few months old

For them to sync contacts they'd probably need to know the other one's Apple ID and password - I don't think it is as easy as just connecting to the wrong computer (although I'm far from an iTunes expert). They could also be pulling in contacts from a third-party email like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.

Are their contacts backed up in iCloud or Outlook? If so you could wipe the contacts from the phone and re-sync.

The customer doesn't know what he is at sometimes

Loosing contacts multiple times

Ending up with someone else's music in itunes that cannot be found .... You know when you are prompted to find a track when you click on it .... Highly suspicious
