Determine memory configuration on ESX host

Hello Experts - I have three Dell R610 servers acting as ESX hosts.  I'd like to upgrade the RAM but need to know how many slots are in use to determine how much more I can add.  Is there an easy way to do this without physically opening the case and bringing it offline?

A few ways....

You could check the Hardware Status or Health Status in the vSphere Client, which might show you DIMM Slots...

or, via the console, or remotely via SSH

Determining how much RAM is installed in each slot on an ESX/ESXi host (1003587)

You do not mention which version of ESXi/ESX ? The above link is for ESX and 4.x, using the dmidecode command

Determining the amount of memory installed from the ESXi command line (2005821)

The above link is for ESXi, using the cim-diagnostic.sh command
