How to programatically select a gridview row

I have gridview_1, it has 10 rows and 2 columns.

Column 1 is unique.

Please, when the page loads, how do I select the row that has a value of "71112" in column 1.

It depends how your grid view is being initialized. for example if your target column is your data key as well then you could use the code in the link below:
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/23587/GridView-selection-by-key
Note: You do not need to use it as extension method.
