"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you have the list of websites and they are happy with you reproducing the data then it's ok.

To get around cross domain issues on the client, I would take a query from the client and process it on your server.  Maybe based on what they query you would return only certain sites?

It all depends on what you're trying to do.  Can't help more than the general comment above without more input from you.

If you're going to scrape data from other sites you need to contact those sites for an API of some sort to get access to their data.  You will otherwise risk getting your website blocked by them because they will notice the increase in traffic from your server's IP address.

This will need to be done on your server.  It's not possible to do this with javascript in the browser.
