We need suggestions for a Video archiving solution.

We currently have 80TB of video files sitting on 10 Pegasus R6 Raid arrays (thunderbolt).
We want to archive these to a cloud storage offering such as Amazon Glacier or similar.

This large amount of data would take a very long time to upload and we are looking for a solution to get this data to an offsite storage provider.

I am looking for some suggestions as to what we could do?

    Accepted Solution

If you could attach the videos to a Windows Server 2012 (or R2) server you could easily integrate it with Microsoft Azure Backup. It has tools and PowerShell Cmdlets built right into Windows Server and/or Data Protection Manager.

With that said, backing up 80TB to the cloud is going to be thousands and thousands of dollars per month, regardless of who you go with. Azure backup does however utilize compression if desired, so it likely wouldn't be 80TB.
