How to server storage to Xenserver 6.2( USB or NAS )

Hello I am new to Xen server. We are using the free version . I like to know who to add external storage for backup.  I need to back my VMs using PHD backup. I like to know if I can attaché a USB drive or NAS on the network to backup my VM's and data.  I like to know about both options (USB and NAS). In addition to the USB drive, I need to get a NAS storage and put it on the network and have Xen backup to it. We have about 8 TB data. I like to know a some NAS devices ( brands ) that would be compatible. Thank you,

Because XenServer using a Linux build the question is if the external harddrive you would be using would actually be supported (because you are fysically attaching it ti the machine and XenServer should be able to recognize it).

Attached is a link how to assign a USB drive to a XenServer installation and how to backup.

Also, when using a NAS you actually connect to a network drive (Network Attached Storage) so IMHO any device would do, it depends on what you like to be using for a NAS. Attached a link on how this could be done.. Again, the device is up to you.
