How to connect to a remote PC via IP

Using Windows or IE resources ?

    What exactly do you mean? Do you want to connect to folders shared on the remote PC, or do you want to use Remote Desktop to connect to it? What OS(s) are you talking about?

    In the meanwhile I found a way to connect....

    In the top screen above, just enter an IP number. I do that for client machines I need to access. I type in 192.168.1.x and it connects.

    Remember that you have to have working VPN connection first.  You do not want to set a machine live to the internet so you can connect without VPN. The machine will last for about 10 minutes and then be hosed by viruses.
