Invalid directory using no-ip

I am using no-ip to access a program on another PC.  If I use the ip address to access a folder it works OK.
eg  in the ini file the line to reports folder is 'Path=\\192.168.1.80\c\reservit\reports\' This works 100%

How do I use reservitnz.no-ip.biz to access the reports folder.
I've tried Path=reservitnz.no-ip.biz\c\reservit\reports\,   Path=\\reservitnz.no-ip.biz\c\reservit\reports\,  Path=reservitnz.no-ip.biz\reservit\reports\, Path=reservitnz.no-ip.biz\reports\ without any luck

I keep getting the error 'invalid directory - check setting in reservit.ini file'

In the attached ini file I am using the ip address to open the main program.  If I use Data Source=reservitnz.no-ip.biz\sqlexpress the main program starts no problem

Any ideas?

How does that work? If you do a DNS lookup for reservitnz.no-ip.biz it translates to  an Internet/public address, as where your example shows 192.168.1.80, which is a private address... Are you forwarding on your firewall?

Spravtek is on the right track.

It will work I you try to do it from a remote internet connection if you do port forwarding at the router but if you're trying to do it on a LAN it won't work usually as a lot of routers don't do something called NAT hairpinning.

Some routers will allow this though so there may be an option for it.
