Honeywell Quickconnect

Moved into home with Honeywell Quicknetwork box.  Caber and network outlets in each room.  Had Comcast install cable.  Cannot connect to the internet through rj45 wall outlet.  Is there something special that needs to be done to connect home wiring to Comcast for the internet to work?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I trust Comcast is providing you your Internet as well.  Did they provide a modem?  The RJ45 jack should lead up to at least the modem if not a switch or router.  Preferably the setup should be like this:

Internet > Modem > Router/Firewall > Switch > RJ45 wall jack.

Is your network setup like this?
