Messages to Gmail accounts not being received

Hello - I have a website running on a shared Linux box (I don't have access to the system). I have used a very simple PHP script to send a 'thank you' email to people after they submit a form. This works fine except for people using Gmail accounts, who never receive the email. Any ideas why or how I could diagnose the problem? Thanks Ed

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you sure that it didn't go to the recipients spam box? Do you get any errors? Could be GMail just refuses the mail from your server? We'll need a bit more info ...

I'd start by checking any logs related to your script/sending mail... How is it sending mail exactly?
