IIS 8.5 Web Set-Up Issue

It get an Authentication error message when trying to access the iis items in my sites as I try to migrate over to iis 8.5 on windows server 2012 r2.  It says:

"There was an error while performing this operation.

    I had the same error message for my website that uses .Net.  I opened Server Manager again and selected Dashboard then add roles and features, under Application Server I selected the following options refer to image1.  That should take care of the issue if its .Net related.
