White Space On Top and Left

I am building a webpage and I have a white space to the top and to the left.  How do I get rid of it so that the image and the div appear without it?

Thank you Gary.  I added the exact code to a css file called general.css and it's not working.  I must be doing something wrong!

Nevermind works perfectly!  I have been having FTP problems with Dreamweaver CS6 and GoDaddy all morning. Thank you once again.
