forgot password win server 2008r2 std

Hi,

I have a server 2008r2 std, and a change the password for the administrator account.

Now i cant login on the server. It wont accept the password.

Can i reset it some way?

This is a MUST have software for IT people: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

It will allow you to reset the password, but just blank out the password as that works best.

Use the password reset tool for reset the password.. best option .. i did one time..

use the : Spower - Windows Password Reset or Asunsoft Password reset tool

Since it is in the AD forum, I suppose you are talking about the domain admin?
Then the linked disk will not help. Instead use the old utilman.exe trick - do you know what I am talking about? This: http://www.lostwindowspassword.com/reset-windows-server-2008-dc-password.html

Well, didn't you understand the linked explanation?
It shows all the steps needed. At step 8, use the command on your domain admin
net user administrator newpassword
After executing, the new password is newpassword.
