Do a telnet test and submit an email using telnet. See what is the result.
At this moment the info you provided is not enough to give you a very accurate answer. More info is needed. Such as:
-Are you using Exchange? What version?
-are you trying to use an External Mail relay or your Internal Mail server
etc etc.
Here is what I would do though:
I would start by checking what your mail server and dns server(s) are set to on the printer. you may want to set the mail server as the IP of the exchange server, not an external DNS name such as mail.company.com. You may also want to only keep the internal DNS Server ip on the printer's Admin web page. If you set an external DNS such as Google as a secondary DNS server for the printer, remove it, just to be safe, since your external and internal domain are the same.
Then I would make sure that the Printer's "email from" address is spelled correctly; a space at the end or at the beginning would cause issues.
Last but not least I would make sure that I have an anonymous relay created on your mail server which restricted to this printer's ip... and other devices that you may need mail relaying for.
Good luck,
Adrian
