Enterprise Active Directory Password Reset software request?

Hello,

I represent a MSP with lets say 100 separate clients that have their unique Active Directories hosted on their own local Domain Controllers located in their own local networks.

What I am wondering is: Do you have a recommendation of a software that supports the following?

We would host a central server in the cloud that manages passwords resets using a simple web page. Each clients Domain controller for example has a software/agent installed that communicates with our central server to manage the resets, meaning the communication flows over https / internet between our central point of password reset and local separate DCs.

Also the system must be able to notify users before passwords expire.

Anyone seen a system like this?

Thanks
Joe

I am trying to understand your layout...

All clients have their own seperate AD domain but common thread to they call share in order for a central password reset

Hello,

All are totally separate environments. But then we would like to use a central system hosted by us.

You couldn't easily do that without trusts, or belong them to the same forest.

However, one of the easiest & cheapest ones that I've seen is Quest/Dell Password Manager. List price is $5/user, and it does use a web page.  However, it does need to have servers that are connected to those client DC's.

but again, i believe you cannot do it via MSP.

Thanks, will check them out and see if they support our scenario. This does not need to be free, but work in the way wed like.

We use nervepoint which is vm installation, so you could potentially install it on each one of your customers sites, also we have more than 1 connector running with nervepoint, active directory and googleapps, so you might be able to do the same as well and have a connector for each of your clients - but don't quote me!

Hello,

Ok, but our customers dont have virtualization environments, most often a single AD server - does Nervepoint work then?

Hello,

We have not yet selected a tool as we are speaking to Nervepoint. They do not have the design that allows us to only install an agent on a remote server that reports in to a central server/console. They require us to have a VMware server or player installed, and that is not feasible on a domain controller.

So for now we dont have a solution yet.

Unfortunately there does not seem to exist a solution on the market that meets our needs.
