Search will not search folders in Outlook 2010

It will search all mail items, but not folders.
Indexing is complete.  Outlook and offline folders areis checked as a search option in indexing.
Using Windows 7 Enterprise.  Outlook 2010.

    We have had the exact same issue and haven't found a solution until now. The search function in Outlook is utter crap. What we tell people is to use the advanced find, this normally does do the trick.
    Even when installing SP2 and all available patches we weren't able to get it to work.
