filemaker pro 13 need to copy report results to a permanent table

I Have a layout that runs sub-totals (using a summry field) of a number of account classes items

Bookeeping 100.00
Office 550.00
supplies 312.00

with the numeric being the summary field of the accounting_class

I want to use them in a spreadsheet and think I need to store them in a new Permanent table

so I made a table called - summaries with record, account and total

Not sure how to script this to take the class-figures from the first report (layout) and loop them into new records in the second table - I see google stuff on exporting - importing etc but it seems like there should be a simple scripting method to do this - need the summary field results written to a permanent record in a single table

Any help, simple examples etc? Filemaker pro adv 13

no need to complicate matters.
exporting really is the easiest, quickest, most standard way to do it :
if you first run the report manually and export manually, filemaker will automatically use these settings in the new export script step.
you can directly export to filemaker and select the correct destination table and fields so it probably will be 1 scriptstep.
