Lotus Domino - Recovery Manager: Log File is Full

Hi Guys,

We had this error a few months back and after speaking to the helpful people on here we sorted.

I am now getting the error again.

We have log file size at 2Gb and set to circular

Last time was from lack of disk space on the drive the log file was sotred. Since then we have moved the log dir to a separate hard disk where there is over 130Gb of free space. All has been working fine since we did this until yesterday.

Any suggestions to what could cause this if there is ample free disk space and file set to circular?

What's the Domino release you use, still on R8.5.3? Apparently there were several earlier releases with this bug, and I found no real solution to the issue, except for rebooting the server. Is there a possibility that you upgrade to the latest Fix Pack?

Hey Sjef, Thanks mate.

Having a look we are running 8.5.2 FP3.
I will definitely look into updates and fix packs, see what we are eligible for and implement.

Hey Sjef,

Mate I followed some of the options provided. So hopefully with Transitional logging being disabled on certain databases will solve.

Still looking good, Haven't had this error since.

Though am having all sorts of other issues at mo :(
