Windows update not reflected in Windows 2012 R2 servers

I have a Windows 2003 server installed with Update Services 3.2. It has already been patched with KB2734608 which will supposedly solve the issues with Windows 2012 receiving updates. However, up till now, none of the Windows 2012 server is receiving any update from the WSUS, even though in the update server it reflects that the Win 2012 server is connected and has 97% patches installed. The remaining patches that need to be installed can't be downloaded to the said server.

I've already removed the softwaredistribution folder and restarted the services but still to receive the new updates. Appreciate your assistance in this issue.

Thanks in advance.

KB2734608 only updates support for Windows Server 2012, it makes no mention of 2012 R2. It also has very specific steps that need to be followed other than applying the patch, including several known issues -

You might want to verify that KB2828185 is installed as well -

My recommendation would be rather than spending hours troubleshooting, to migrate WSUS to 2012 -
