We are currently running WSUS 3.2.7600.226 on Windows 2008 R2. We are planning to introduce Windows 2012 R2 member servers to our 2008 Domain and Upgrading AD at a later date. Can we scan against our existing WSUS server for Windows 2012, or do we need to implement WSUS on a Windows 2012 R2 server?

WSUS Support

Microsoft Server OS

Windows Server 2012 is the server version of Windows 8 and the successor to Windows Server 2008 R2.
