In My setup, always asked o run command VSSADMIN LIST WRITERS. If no errors found then no issues in taking backup but if error occurs in any of the writers then we need to troubleshoot it. But i really didnt understand VSSADMIN <br />

1.What it is ?<br />
2. How it works?<br />
3. Why Backup failed if this failed<br />
4. How to troubleshoot if any of the writers failed.<br />

Kindly explain the working or give a solution to learn it with a proper understanding of VSS please.

VSSADMIN List Writers
