Why i get User profile service failed the logon User profile cannot be loaded , even after deleting the User profile

Hi

We have windows 2012 DCs and Windows7 PCs.One of the application was not working on a workstation for user as it was supposed to work. when I login as a different user the application is working well.

So I renamed the profile as .old and logged in so that it would created a new profile. Bu instead , it was not  allowing to log in  as that user and I got this message  "User profile service failed the logon User profile cannot be loaded"

So I copied the users profile to another location and completely deleted the profile , restarted the PC and logged in again.
Even in spite of doing this , I get the same message "User profile service failed the logon User profile cannot be loaded" and doesn't allow to log in.

Please guys help and suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Did you use the correct process to completely remove the windows 7 user profile? Not just delete the folder.

Log in as different user (with admin privileges) than you want to delete
Open Properties for Computer
Advanced system settings (on the left)
Settings for User Profiles (in the center)
Select the profile you want to delete and click the delete buton

Before I posted this in the forum I did the below step,  in he registry I found a .bak entry with only one number, where as in the below website it says there will be two identical number and I could not find two identical number , so  I did deleted .bak

http://www.sysprobs.com/fix-temporary-profile-windows-7

Now even after deleting the user profile from advance system settings , I get the same message.

I chose the one with the desired user and delete the long registry with .bak
key  “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList”

Open: C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Sqm

Delete ALL files found there. You may need to take ownership (and show Hidden/System in Explorer)

That will eliminate the error. BTDT.

Just wanted to say +1 on the accepted solution.  I inexplicably started getting this error on a few machines in my environment.  Could log in with local admin, but no other users - even a brand new domain account.  Removing the files at that location fixed the issue.
