Windows Updates fail after Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 installed

I had the same problem, but it corrected itself after a few days, I don't know why.  Updates to the Windows Update agent can't be uninstalled, so I was pretty upset when I started getting those errors.  When did you install the agent?

First installed 01-08-2014 and another 28-08-2014 but none have corrected them selves yet

Hmm, that is a lot longer than I had to wait. When you look at the Windows Update window, I think you should see another prompt to install the update agent again.  Now that I think about it, I recall that's what happened with mine, as if the first install had failed or a second update had been issued to correct whatever the original issue was. Are you getting that prompt?
