I have several Windows 2008 R2 Servers (hyper-V guests) that Windows Update now errors with code 80070020

This seems to be after Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 was installed (last update listed)

I have tried removing Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 but can't find it listed anywhere under Installed Updates

I had the same problem, but it corrected itself after a few days, I don't know why.  Updates to the Windows Update agent can't be uninstalled, so I was pretty upset when I started getting those errors.  When did you install the agent?

Hmm, that is a lot longer than I had to wait. When you look at the Windows Update window, I think you should see another prompt to install the update agent again.  Now that I think about it, I recall that's what happened with mine, as if the first install had failed or a second update had been issued to correct whatever the original issue was. Are you getting that prompt?

The problems with reply email signatures

Do you wish that you could place an email signature under a reply? Well, unfortunately, you can't. That great Exchange/Office 365 signature you've created will just appear at the bottom of an email chain. What a pain! Is there really no way to solve this? Well, there might be...

Problem has been identified with a conflict between Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 and Backup Exec 2010 R3 Continuous Protection Agent Filter Driver and only observed on Windows 2008 R2

Disable [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\CpsFsJnl]
"Start"=dword:00000004

Restart Server

Windows Updates then process correctly
