Dear Experts,

I have Dell PowerEdge2950 server with Windows Server 2008R2 and I would like to install Dell Powevault 114T tape drive and configure it for backups.

I have connected the powervault but its not appearing in server backups.
Please advise what software i need for powervault 114T to backup on tapes.

Kindly please advise at the earliest.

I would suggest using backupexec from symantec.
But there might be better software by now with equal tape support.

Server 2008 does not support tapes anymore (not in windows backup anyway)
You need some 3d party backup software like backupexec (http://www.symantec.com/products/data-backup-software)
