Quicken 2005 error code 7214

We have a client with Quicken 2005 and is having issue with Quicken 2005. When launching the App we get error code 7214. After doing initial research we found we can open the app by holding Shift/Ctrl and double clicking. Data is showing in appropriate  location on screen (balances, etc) but program just displays window that it has encounter errors and won't actually execute

Apologies if you've already found and tried these, but figured they're good to list anyway.  From your description, it sounds like you're already using Shift+Ctrl, but the final steps below may assist.

Make sure you have a good backup of all the files (Copy the whole Quicken directory if you have to).
Hold Shift+Ctrl down and click (double click) on Quicken to start it.
It will start without any file loaded.
Now hold down Shift+Ctrl (keep them down):
File -> File Operations -> Validate

Keep the Shift+Ctrl down until after you have browsed for your data file and the "Super Validate" titled dialog comes up.  Hopefully it will find and fix the problem.

Also, make sure your system has the latest Microsoft updates--including optional updates--fully installed.

Went ahead and re-installed Quicken and in doing so found out that even the uninstall process thru Control Panel was corrupt so I download Intuit's removal tool; re-installed Quicken and it is working again.
