Looking for a  bulk email solution or program

We look after a small charity that occassionally needs to send out a bulk email to it's membership of a couple of hundred members.

They have been attempting to use MS Outlook 2007 by sending to themselves in the "TO" field and adding the membership emails to the "BCC" field.

For a small number of emails with a small message, this is working fine.

However, when the "BCC" field has a significant number of email adresses and/or the email is larger, such as 600k, the emailing fails with a variety of messages including:  "553 5.5.3 <abc@hereweare.com>... Maximum number of recipients per message exceeded".

What we are looking for is a bulk emailing program, system or solution that sends each email indvidually. Each email may or may not have a attachment and/or an embedded picture.

About 12 years ago, at another site,  we used a product called Sprika LiteMail 21 that did the job for simple emails. We were never able to get the upgraded version of the product to work.

Their ISP has whitelisted their IP address re the sending of emails.

Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks - Al

Hello,

Have a look at Mail Chimp:
http://mailchimp.com/

"Send 12,000 emails to 2,000 subscribers for free. No contracts, and no credit card required. It’s free forever."

It may not be exactly what you need though as its more used for marketing emailing.
