HBO over FiOS New York With MythTV and SiliconDust Prime tuner

Does anyone have PERSONAL experience using

* MythTV (or any other PVR software)
* FiOS New York / Long Island
* Cable Card Equipped DHPrime
* Watching encryped HBO?

I can watch all other stations but the Encrypted 'premium' stations are not showing.

The HD Config utility does not show them either.

My other TiVo units are showing HBO with no problem.

contact your cable provider and ensure that the cable card is activated for your account.

David, Cable card is activated. Otherwise the other stations would not show up.

I believe the problem is related to the copy protection bit that HBO and other 'premium' stations turn on.

I want to know if anyone has actually had success in recording HBO from FiOS with a MythTV backend.

not with MythTV but with Windows Media Center I had success with encrypted content that I was authorized to get.. it wasn't available for a long period (about a month for most stuff)

I am guessing that this is because Microsoft adheres to the copy protection on the content.

Were you able to watch the video off-line or on another device?

Also, could you use the provided SiliconDust diag program, and watch HBO via VLCPlayer?
