I have eclipse 4.4.0 on my win 7 machine and was able to create a hello world application under windows (can run it from a command line window)

How do I get to upload this application to my samaung tab 4 android device?

How in general do I develop some useful apps for android using my eclipse ide?

I am under impression I need to set up some kind of virtual device emulation on windows machine to be able to test/develop app for tablet on the windows box before "installing" it on the tablet.

On web I see all kinds of vague references to sdk managers etc but cant see the answers... thanks

have you installed the android SDK? http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

In order to put it on your android device you have to open up the store to allow installation from sites other than the google play store. security / check unknown sources.

now you can copy the .apk you created to a sim card and then install it
