When Using the Groupwise email client, the client just shows the list of email in the mailbox. When you click the Mailbox button, you can see the pane that lists all the folders, but when you click on one of the emails, the mailbox pane disappears. I need to be able to see the mailbox pane while clicking on emails so I can drag and drop the email into a different folder. Do you mean the preview panel, the preview panel allows you to read an email without opening it?
To turn it on or off go to the View Button  in the expanded panel click on Quick Views.
If it is ticked untick and then retick that's all you need to do.
Once you open an email that option is gone, same applies to all email clients preview is unopened.  But an opened email should pop-out separately over your email client as a separate view.
Can't you simply drag in the edges to make it smaller so you can see the email client behind?
