Set report auto-refresh via URL parameter?

I've learned that an auto refresh rate can be set through the AutoRefresh property on a SSRS 2008 R2 report. It can be set directly as a constant, but can also be set using an expression.

Does anyone know if this AutoRefresh property can be set by appending a parameter to the report URL? I'm asking this in the context of having an application wrapper that embeds SSRS reports.

Thanks,
Jeff

As far as I know the built-in report server URL parameters do not have auto refresh implemented.  But with a little change to your report you can build it yourself.  A report has a property called AutoRefresh.  This property can be set based on a report parameter.  And a report parameter can be given a value through the report server URL.  So all you need to do is add a (possibly hidden) report parameter to your report and set it as expression for AutoRefresh.

Here's how it can be given a value through the URL:

http://YourSSRSServer/ReportServer?/SomeFolder/SomeReport&AutoRefresh=3

This assumes the report parameter is called AutoRefresh.  When implemented right it should now refresh every three seconds.
