What is the email retention time?

I'm using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.  I have created a folder.  I save some emails in this folder.  What is the email  retention time?  How long will my emails stay in this folder ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Unless you are on an Exchange server your pst file will be there until the cows come home.  :)

If you are connecting to an exchange server it will be in your account type.  Normally this is how companies do email.
However if you are using email at home then you are probably using IMAPI or POP through your ISP and hence a PST file (personal storage table).
