see who is online sharepoint 2010

hey,

i keep reading it is not possible to see realtime who is online on a SharePoint site. Is this true or has someone found a workaround for this? And I have just not found it :-)

sharepoint like other websites is a state-less item.. Users are connected only for short periods of time (during a get or a post) otherwise they are not connected. when a server does a post-back to update a page it must first check to see if they are still connected by reading a cookie or other process then it will update the page (this is done in the background)
