Parental Control At Home

Hi,

I work within IT, but not so much with the security blocking side.

To put a long story short, we need to block our teenage daughter from certain sites, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter etc without impacting anyone else in the house. We have a netgear router that does have LPC, but I'm currently using block keywords, but for some reason its very inconsistent and not 100%.

The other issue we have is phones that allow data access, apart from passwords on these, what else can we do on these?

Really looking for a program to install on each device we need too and monitor this with logs either via the router or another program.

Cheers

Chris

Not sure about free ones, there are a bunch of 3rd party software that I never used, but bluecoat does all that you want I'm sure. If used alot in the enterprise environment as well. This link will show you about home use.
