How to turn off the wireless transmission on an Asus modem router? (model DSL-N12E)
I have a wireless modem, but I want to turn off the wireless while it's not needed and just use it as a wired modem router for my desktop PC. Skimming through the manual, I couldn't see how to do it... does anyone know how to do this?

I have an asus also but not your model...and I can't turn mind off either...at least by no just on/off settings...
You might be able to physically disable it by removing the antennas...mine just screw on and off.

Yes, Saschao, your link to the correct manual was how I solved it... thanks again :-)

It's also worth noting there's a setting Administration > System > WPS Button Behavior that can be changed to "Toggle Radio" so that a button on the back of the unit toggles the wireless on and off.
However if one tries to do it just after turning the power on, it seems to reset the device to factory settings!
