UPS Master control outlet threshold

I have a APC 1500 UPS.  I just plugged the workstation/monitor printer etc into the battery backup side.  I did not configure any power saving options.  Does it matter what component gets plugged into the master outlet, if I dont configure or turn on the power saving function?

no, it just will use default settings; you can see on pg 8-9 what they are :

of course, the more devices are plugged in, the fastter the battery is empty
