Hi,

I am a user of Office365.

I use Excel and Microsoft Access a lot.
I have never used sharepoint and am unsure of what I should use if for.

Can I put spreadsheets and databases onto my sharepoint?
Can these be used by other people?

Think of Sharepoint as a Wiki on steroids.  You can use it to Document, Create How-Tos, upload documents for others to download and access, even blogging if you would like.  You can basically set it up for whatever you want as far as a central repository is concerned.
