Every HP switch I've ever worked with will show this, even when there are no issues at all.

Manually set the speed/duplex on the switch port and the device which is connected to port 21 and the errors should stop.

Whether the duplex is ok or not - try it.  This is what usually works.

Why go to the expense of changing the switch if there's maybe a simple solution to try first?

because CISCO is more reliable then HP.
But ok, I will test the cables and plugs and the config mode.

Hmmm why do you say that? I'm certified in both - neither is specifically more reliable.

Don't worry about testing cables, etc, just set the speed/duplex and clear the logs.
